The problem we are actually solving
Local classifieds are the cheapest way to buy almost anything, and the reason people stop using them is never the price. It is that you cannot tell who is on the other end. A photograph proves nothing, a name proves nothing, and by the time you find out, you are standing in a car park.
So Classiry does two things no listing site normally does. It checks the person, once, and shows how far that went. And it checks the listing, every time, before anyone sees it.
What that looks like
- Trust levels. A seller climbs a ladder from an email address to an identity-and-address check to a registered company. It shows on everything they post. How it works.
- Shield. Every listing is read before it is public: whose photographs, whether the price makes sense against what actually sold nearby, and the phrasing that comes before a loss. What it checks.
- The deal room. Messages, offers, the meeting and the money in one place, with the money held until the buyer has the item. How that works.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data, and we never have.
- We do not let anybody pay for a badge, a trust level or a Shield result.
- We do not charge to list, to browse, or to sell to a local buyer.
Where we are
Houston first, because a marketplace is only useful when the things in it are close enough to collect. Other cities follow as there is enough in them to be worth opening. Right now there are 57 live listings.
Who builds it
Classiry is a brand of Bolrach Technologies Limited. If something here is wrong, tell us — that reaches a person.
