Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Bolrach Technologies Limited, which operates Classiry. By using the service you accept them.

1. What Classiry is

Classiry is a marketplace. We introduce buyers and sellers, check listings and identities, and, where payment protection is used, hold the money until the buyer confirms. We are not the seller of anything listed by a member, and the contract of sale is between the two of you.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself.
  • Everything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • Trust levels are earned by verification and cannot be bought, transferred or given.

3. Listing rules

List only what you actually have and may lawfully sell. Describe it honestly, use your own photographs, and price it in the currency shown. Some things may never be listed; those are set out in Prohibited items, and conduct rules are in Acceptable use.

4. Deals and payment protection

When a buyer pays through Classiry we hold the money. It is released to the seller when the buyer confirms they have the item, or automatically at the end of the inspection window if nothing is raised. Until then it is neither yours nor ours to spend.

  • The buyer has 48 hours from collection to raise a problem.
  • If the item is not as described, or the seller does not appear, the buyer is refunded.
  • A change of mind is not covered. That is between the two of you.
  • Paying outside Classiry ends this protection entirely. We will warn you when we see it being suggested.

5. Fees

Listing is free. Browsing is free. Selling to a local buyer is free. We charge only for optional extras, such as a boost or a business page, and for payment processing where protection is used. Any fee is shown before you agree to it, never after.

6. Shield and moderation

Every listing is checked before it is public. We may hold, edit the visibility of, or remove a listing, and we may suspend an account, where these terms are broken or where we reasonably suspect fraud. Where we hold something we tell you what tripped it, so it can be fixed.

7. Your content

What you write and photograph stays yours. You give us a licence to host, display and resize it so the service can show it, including in search results and alerts. That licence ends when you remove the content, except where we must retain a copy for the periods set out in Privacy.

8. Our responsibility, and its limits

We are responsible for running the service with reasonable care and for the payment protection we promise. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of what members list, nor for a member's conduct. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Ending this

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, and will say why. Open deals and held money are settled before an account closes.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country. Talk to us first through a ticket; most things are settled there.
