The one rule that stops nearly all of it
Stay on Classiry. Almost every loss we see starts the same way: the conversation moves to text or WhatsApp, and then a deposit is requested. In a deal room the money is held, the messages are kept, and a dispute has something to read. Off it, none of that is true.
What we do about it
- Every listing is read before it is public. See what Shield checks.
- We flag a message that asks you to pay outside Classiry, or to move to another app.
- Categories where losses hurt need a higher trust level first. See Trust levels.
What we will never do
- Ask for your password.
- Ask you to pay outside Classiry.
- Message you first about a payment you did not start.
If something claiming to be us does any of those, it is not us. Tell us and it will appear on this page.
